Drone Legislation In Hungary Expected By Mid-2016
It is expected that legislation for regulating the use of drones in Hungary will be ready by the middle of next year, the head of the relevant authority told the daily Magyar Hírlap. András Farkas, deputy chairman of the transport authority’s air control office, told the daily that there may be several thousand companies and individuals in possession of drones in the country.

The relevant ministries and authorities are expected to submit opinions on the drones by the end of the summer this year, and the idea of designated “sky-harbours” is also being explored, Farkas said.

The issue of frequencies used by drones is clearly an important matter, the paper quoted an engineer at the office as saying.

Another issue involves autonomous capabilities should the handler lose control over the vehicle, Zoltán Ozoli said.
