Vodafone Challenges NMHH Fine Again
Vodafone is seeking a judicial review of the decision by the telecoms and media authority NMHH to fine the company Ft 40 million over its handling of new identity confirmation rules.

The NMHH issued the fine because Vodafone verified the identity of about a third of pre-paid service subscribers by using its own database rather than asking clients to turn up personally in 2017.

Vodafone argues that its actions complied with the law and served the interest and comfort of clients by reducing long lines and excessive administration.

Vodafone appealed against the initial ruling of the NMHH, but a second instance authority upheld it on August 24.
