Escape To A ‘Lost World’ Paradise At Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya
Tried & Tested Verdict: Highly recommended for families. This 'Lost World' themed five-star resort, set on Wong Amat Beach, is an amazing place of indulgence and adventure.

It’s an entire world of pleasure,  with a water park, free family fun activities, a beach club, and amazing ocean-view rooms.

A destination in its own right, given this spacious resort has eight dining venues, a kids’ club, an extensive water park, and family friendly residences.

It serves as an ideal retreat for couples and honeymooners too, who will love the ocean-facing rooms and suites, award-winning spa, and beach side water sports.

With its impressive range of meeting venues, team-building options and expansive grounds, the resort is also a prime destination for company conferences and special weddings.

The focus of this review is on the amazing Lost World themed leisure facilities, the spectacular rooms and suites, the exceptional Club package, plus the Spa set in its own oceanfront village is highly commended.

Stunning Accomodation & Club Benefits

This truly outstanding 19-storey ocean-front resort features 555 superb rooms and spacious suites, all utilising the striking Lost World theme and providing amazing views of the ocean and gardens.

Most room categories offer the choice of a king-sized bed or two double beds, while the Deluxe Spa Ocean Facing rooms come complete with furnished balcony and outdoor Jacuzzi.

The Deluxe Ocean Facing Family Residences feature bunk beds suitable for up to three children in a separate area and ample living space, and thus make it an ideal family retreat.

It’s highly recommended for guests to enjoy the extra benefits provided by the Club category, which include access to the Club Mirage Lounge - with five meal presentations daily, evening cocktails and of course internet access.

Each room features a furnished balcony or expansive terrace, and total living space ranges from 42 to 326 square metres - as mentioned all really are generously spacious, not just the Presidential Suite pictured below - pictured to show what such an exclusive space looks like.

Beach Access, Water Park & Shopping Options All Included

With 230 metres of its own white sandy beach the resort offers a choice of water sport activities.

There is a fully-equipped fitness centre and tennis courts, and other recreational activities include yoga, group fitness classes, volleyball, table tennis, snooker and rock-climbing.

Leisure facilities include the Lost World water park with free-form swimming pools, a meandering lazy river, waterfalls and thrilling waterslides.

Recently added is a water play feature, Monsoon Island, providing children with hours of fun with water sprays, water gun shooters, and much more.

Younger guests are well taken care of with the professionally supervised Kids’ Club, featuring Camp Safari for those aged 4-9 and E-Zone for teenagers, and a separate games room.

Families choosing to stay at Club level have their own Exclusive Club Lounge. Located on the lobby level, Zulu Family Club Lounge is made up of a play area for toddlers, a mini–cinema, and a separate video games room to keep children of all ages entertained.

In the mean time parents can take some time out to visit the SPA Cenvaree, which offers traditional aromatherapy, therapeutic massages and modern rejuvenation practices. The resort also has its own shopping arcade worth exploring - as of course is the beautiful beach.

Bars & Restaurants To Suit Every Taste

The resort’s extensive range of F&B options each deserve a positive review for themselves, yet available space allows us to just look at a few of the delights available on-site:

  • Oasis serves a hearty breakfast buffet, and regular themed dinners which are great value given the high quality.

  • Ginger & Lime offers a fascinating take on Asian cuisine, including Thai, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese.

  • Acqua serves modern Italian cuisine with an accent on fresh seafood, and is delightful given the authentic tastes presented in such an exquisite environment - see below.

  • Flames is a barbecue and grill restaurant where magnificent meat and fish dishes are prepared by a Russian chef.

  • Vistas, with a striking décor and fab views, is a perfect rendez-vous point and lounge for any time of the day - especially around sunset.

  • Waves serves thirst quenching drinks and cocktails, and is a rather popular spot given the lovely warm weather.

  • COAST Beach Club, the resort’s recently added beachside venue, offers tapas and grilled seafood specialities, outdoors you can choose between beach daybeds and large sofas.
