Nights Spent by Foreign Visitors in Hungary Up 12%

Guest nights at commercial and private accommodations in Hungary rose by an annual 11% to 2.1 million in January, with the number of guests rising by 10%, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.

The number of guest nights spent by domestic travellers rose by 8.9%, while those spent by foreign visitors rose by 12%.

The number of guest nights at commercial accommodations, which gave 74% of the total, grew by an annual 9.6%.

Nights spent at private and other accommodations grew by 13% year on year.
