Alarming Number Of Stabbings In Budapest
During the last few weeks, the increased number of serious stabbings in Budapest hit the headlines nationwide.

In the last week the number of stabbings in Budapest has been alarming; nearly every day a case of serious or mortal injury caused by knife occurred. The most publicized was the incident of a 48-year-old Ecuadorian triathlon athlete stabbed to death in the night on Saturday.

The stabbing attacks are nearly always injurious because the usage of knife does not require a particular force from the attackers who habitually stab or cut the victim in some way. Although the various self-defense methods like the various legal self-defense gears or courses can bid a solution to these situations, the attacked person should firstly carefully consider his position. If the aggressor wants valuables or money, it is advisable not to oppose even though frequently the drunkard or bullying raiders assault instantly leaving no place for any reaction.

There are no official statistics as to how many stabbing casualties happen, ORFK declared. Usually the established body-check does not contain body-search although police can check clothing if they suspect the presence of weapons dangerous for public safety.
