Amnesty International Stages Demo At French Embassy In Budapest

"Some 100 activists representing human rights watchdog Amnesty International (AI) staged a demonstration against the forcible deportation of Romanian and Bulgarian Roma at the French embassy in Budapest Saturday afternoon.
The activists demanded the cessation of racism and the observance of human rights by both the French and the Hungarian governments.
A number of illegal Roma settlements have been shut down in France in recent weeks and 979 Romanian and Bulgarian Roma were deported to their homelands from July 28 to August 17."
