Budapest BKV To Buy Second-Hand Hanover Trams
"Budapest public transport company BKV will purchase used trams to replace some of its Ganz trams, from Hanover for Ft 160 million. They will go into service from early next year.

The BKV purchased 68 Hanover trams for Ft 7.1 billion in February 2001. The average age of its 584 tram carriages is 26 years.

Meanwhile the BKV lost a lawsuit at the Labour Court on Thursday, according to which many millions of forints paid out in seven severance payments will not have to be returned. The BKV said it will now try to retrieve Ft 100 million on other legal titles."
