Murderer Of British Ex-Model Gets 10 Years In Hungary
"Győr County Court on Friday handed down a ten-year prison term to Csaba Augusztinyi after finding him guilty of the September 2008 murder of former British model Eva Rhodes.

Prosecutors said they will appeal the sentence because it is too short.

Augusztinyi, an employee at Rhodes’s animal shelter in B ny near Austria, confessed to killing her over a pay dispute.

He told the court that he first punched the 65-year-old Rhodes, then struck her repeatedly with the handle of an axe. He burnt the body, buried the remains nearby, then stole a few thousand forints and her laptop.

Rhodes's sister Judith Majlath has asked for the involvement of British experts, claiming that the court did not consider important evidence, as part of Rhodes body has not been found, nor were her jeep and several valuables. Her body was not discovered until April 2009.

Rhodes was born in Hungary, then fled to the UK in 1956. She opened the animal shelter in 1996."
