The Newcomer: Twitter-Virus Reached Hungary
Malevolent websites use Twitter’s error. Now it is more secure to use a safely built client than the official website. An unfiltered JavaScript code is responsible for those strange links and empty messages that fill up Twitter-based sites taking over a disturbing error from the original service.

The vulnerability of the system is exploited by cybercriminals. The malignant codes function easily: if the user clicks on the link containing the malevolent codes, the virus reaches the Twitter and that particular user’s unsuspecting followers, then directs the browser to phising and adult content pages.

Users are advised to use a Twitter-based service instead of Twitter.com.
