Hundreds Attend Funeral In Hungary Of Cruise Ship Disaster Victim
"Hundreds of people turned out for the funeral of violin player Sándor Fehér in the Kispest cemetery despite the freezing cold on Wednesday. Fehér was one of 17 people who died when the Italian luxury liner Costa Concordia struck a rock off the Italian island of Giglio on January 13. The other 11 Hungarians on board survived.

The 38-year-old, part of a famous dynasty of musicians, was bidden farewell by a Gypsy band, in line with Roma custom. He was laid to rest next to his father who died recently.

Violinist Zoltán Mága called Fehér a hero in a eulogy on behalf of fellow musicians and the family, recalling that Fehér had put lifejackets on crying children.

He reportedly failed to board a lifeboat because he went back to retrieve his violin."
