Sneaky Robbers On The Roads Of Hungary
During spring, especially on weekends, people like to go for a spin exploring different parts of Hungary. Travellers most often choose cars as means of transport, which became quite a risky idea- warned the motorists the Hungarian police.

According to multilingual police flyers, muggers tend to stop drivers with various tricky excuses, and while keeping them busy, they quietly lay hands on the values that are left on the back seat.

The most common way to commit these crimes is when raiders cause an injury on the wheel of the chosen car, and while changing the tires they quietly rob the unsuspecting victim. Using flashlights referring to a non-existent technical error is another popular attempt. Usually there are two thieves involved, and while one offers his help, the other one quietly commits the robbery.

There are some other, more rare cases, where stealers stop the drivers in unfrequented service areas or parking lots under the pretext of requesting information.

To prevent these crimes, the police recommends to take the following actions:
- Keep your values and belongings with you
- Don’t trust extremely helpful strangers
- Close the doors as soon as you leave your car
- Choose a bigger, more lightsome parking place with a heavier traffic for resting
