Magyar Posta Dismissing Workers
Magyar Posta has dismissed over 250 workers in small increments in recent weeks, Népszabadság reports. Groups of fewer than 30 employees were released after reaching mutual agreements, in order to avoid the need for mass dismissals, the newspaper adds.

There are rumours that 500 employees will be dismissed out of the present 33,000.

Since the deregulation of the postal market from January 1, 2013, Magyar Posta’s priority has been to boost efficiency among market conditions, said spokeswoman Kata Apáti-Tóth.
