Hungary’s Social Media Site Undone By Facebook

Hungarian pioneering social media site iwiw will close on June 30 after 12 years of operation, it was announced on Thursday. The networking site was the leading social site in Hungary in 2005-10, with 1.5 million visitors a day at its peak.
However, the number of users has fallen dropped radically due to the increasing popularity of Facebook, which entered Hungary in 2009.
The site nevertheless managed to produce profits until 2013.
