More Households Plan To Buy Homes
The number of households planning to purchase or build homes in the next 12 months was 41% higher in January than in October, while the number considering such a step rose by 18%, according to a recent survey.

The rise is due to the government’s announcement of its home purchasing subsidies scheme CSOK, according to the economic research institute GKI, which conducted the survey on commission from the employers organisation Gyosz.

The results indicate that 80,000 households plan to buy or build a house, the same number as in early 2009.

GKI surveyed a representative sample of 1,000 households, 110 property agencies and 1,147 companies.
