St Patrick’s Day Gala Dinner, Budapest Marriott, 17 March
The Irish-Hungarian Business Circle held its annual St Patrick’s Day Gala Dinner last Saturday at the Marriott Hotel in Budapest. The evening was filled with great Irish spirit, fab food, traditional music & dance, good friends, and of course the craic.

Event organiser and IHBC Board member Duncan Graham arranged another very special occasion for the 230+ guests attending, afterwards saying, "The dancers from ‘Coincidance’ and the 'Green Spirit Band' brought an energy to the event that transported us all to Ireland for the night. A room full of happy and enthusiastic guests danced away until the early hours, a massive thanks to all our sponsors, including our media partner XpatLoop."

At the start Patrick Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to Hungary, made a warm and friendly speech, as did Matty Ryan the President of the Irish-Hungarian Business Circle. Matty told XpatLoop, "In our first year, last year, we doubled the number of Corporate members and we began our journey to put the ‘’B’’ back into IHBC. This year, we doubled the number of business events and we increased our sponsorship revenue by 50%."

One of the many heart-warming moments during the evening was a special presentation by Matty Ryan to Zsuzsanna Bozo, who was recognised as the Irish-Hungarian Business Circle 'Person of the Year' for all her charitable work.

IHBC would like to thank the following supporters:
1. Existing: McHale Engineering, G&G Wealth, Kingspan, Enterprise Ireland, PwC, Embassy of Ireland, Jameson, Guinness.
2. New: C&W, UPS, Soproni, Peresia.
3. Main: Pannonia Ethanol.
