Hungarian Gov't Bans Kaspersky Lab
The government on Monday ordered ministries, state institutions and state-owned companies to replace products of Russian IT security company Kaspersky Lab, in line with an EU decision.

The European Parliament passed a decree on June 15 against using Kaspersky products after finding that they are malicious.

The US imposed a similar ban last September, and the UK in December.

State entities are to report on their replacement efforts by October 15.

Any future use of potentially malicious products must be reported to the head of the national security working group.
