English Stand Up Comedy, Brody Studios, 5 December
From the organisers: The comedic capers continue this autumn at Brody Studios as Laugh Budapest Laugh, delivers the best of English language comedy in the city.

This month our beloved compere Dave Thomspon brings the best of international talent to stage: Denis Nikolin & Tony Law.

Denis Nikolin
Being one of the first English-speaking stand-up comedians in Russia, Denis has developed his own style. His sets incorporate his own angle on his numerous jobs, relationships, life in Russia in general and how Russians are perceived in the West. You might think that everything that is said by Western media can be applied to Denis as well but no! He is Russian, but he's a Bad Russian!

Tony Law
Watch him and through laughter, you’ll rise, happier. An industry favourite, Law is consistently a critic’s choice and comedian’s comedian. Tony makes distinctively, infectiously silly comedy that is richer and instantly recognisable. There’s a real joy to his performances as a finely constructed chaos that is a pure delight to watch. Tony’s shows are an eccentric experience you’ll never forget.

Dave Thompson
Dave is a reincarnation of the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Yakbim Sekhaenre’s court jester Djedptahaufankh. He entertained the pharaoh and his family for 24 years. In 1779 BC, Dave (or Djedptahaufankh as he was then known) misjudged a joke about Pharaoh Yakbim Sekhaenre’s daughter, and was ritually disembowelled. His body was thrown to the crocodiles.
In his current incarnation, Dave played Tinky Winky, the purple Teletubby.
