Hungarian Ambulance Service Launches New App Making Emergency Calls Simpler
The national ambulance service OMSZ will launch a mobile-phone app with the help of the Vodafone Foundation in the autumn, it was announced.

The ÉletMentő app for Android and iOS operating systems makes emergency calls simpler, as it immediately transfers data about the caller, said OMSZ head Gábor Csató.

The user’s health data can be uploaded in the app for retrieval later and the software also provides a precise GPS location.

The app developed by Medical Information Technologies also shows the user nearby emergency services and provides a quick first-aid guide.

It has been available in the Czech Republic since 2016 and now has a million registered users, said developer Filip Malenak.
