'Barbarian Day' @ Aquincum Museum, 6 October
In the spirit of this year’s prehistoric theme at the museum, on 6 October 2019 between 10:00 and 18:00 the Aquincum Museum’s Archaeological Park will host native Celtic and Germanic warriors and craftsmen, who will give visitors a peek into their daily lives.

During the clash of Germanic and Celtic re-enactors and arts and crafts workshops, visitors can learn about the culture and customs of people living beyond the borders of the Roman Empire.

Programme:

Camps of the re-enactors

10:00-18:00 Jaurinum Historical Association of Győr – camp, clothing, weapons and crafts demonstration, children’s games

10:00-18:00 Norde Gard – Northern Guard – camp, clothing and weapons demonstration,  challenges (tug of war, ring toss, spear throwing), warrior training for children

10:00-18:00 Szarvas Törzs Celtic Re-enactment Association – camp, clothing and weapons demonstration, warrior training, spear throwing, putting on warpaint
