Budapest Train Station To Host Transport Museum
The 130-year-old Kelenföld train station will be converted into a transport museum at the request of the local council, Prime Minister’s Office leader Gergely Gulyás announced outside the station on Tuesday.

The transport museum in the City Park has been closed, due to the transformation of the park, and it could be quite a few years before plans for a major transport museum in the Tenth District come to fruition, he said.

Speaking alongside 11th District mayor Tamás Hoffmann, Gulyás said the Kelenföld museum will relate the history of Hungarian railways.

The 11th District will provide Ft 20 million for the project, while the other Ft 80 million will be funded by the PMO.
