Watch: Two Hungarian Films Invited to Cannes
Feature films Evolution, directed by Kornél Mundruczó, and Ildikó Enyedi’s The Story of My Wife have been invited to the Cannes film festival, scheduled for July 6-17.

Enyedi’s film will make its debut in the competition program of the festival while Evolution will be screened in the newly created section called Cannes Premieres.

The Story of My Wife is based on Milán Füst’s novel of the same title, which has been translated into more than 20 languages.

Evolution is a family story running over three generations, dealing with inherited traumas and the ways of processing them.

The 2020 festival was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
