Duna-Part Festival, 6 - 8 July

Now in its second year, this ‘festival for everyone’ offers three days of concerts on four stages on the banks of the Ráckeve branch of the Danube. It showcases Hungarian rock and electronica with artists such as Carson Coma, Azahriah and Valmar.

‘Waldorfest’, 6 - 9 July

Celebrating its tenth edition, this year the fest features top Hungarian acts such as Ivan & the Parazol and Analog Balaton. Geared towards younger Hungarians, Waldorfeszt is popular with those having recently graduated and looking to let off steam, but naturally everyone is welcome.

Dance Party: Sebastian Busto (Arg)

After his successful appearance at the LED Room in November, Sebastian Busto returns to Hungary, the justifiably popular Argentine progressive house DJ/producer giving a long set at Lokál in the Akvárium Klub.

Celebrating royal get-togethers of centuries past, this three-day event of knightly battles and medieval music takes place in the very place where Central European nobility met back in the day, Visegrád, overlooking the Danube from its lofty vantage point.

This production recalls many memorable summers at Lake Balaton from the viewpoint of holidaymakers through artistic and pop cultural references. Nostalgia, hope and change dovetail in an emotive performance.

Classical Opera: 'Madama Butterfly'

Puccini’s tale of Cio-Cio-san (Gabriella Létay Kiss) and Pinkerton (Szabolcs Brickner) is one of the finest romantic tragedies ever written for the stage. Conducted by János Kovács, with English surtitles.
