Initially opened by a student but now run by Mr. Sheikh Swapan this restaurant may not be pleasing to the eye but is certainly pleasing to the stomach. Located at Akácfa utca 40, this restaurant certainly complies with the commonly used phrase “hole in the wall”. This fall, celebrating the forthcoming 10th birthday of Vitéz Kürtős, we’ve decided to host the 1st Chimney Cake Festival, which would be an event in every respect perfect for establishing a tradition. Nowadays the chimney cake is an indispensable element of every festival and culinary event, so now it’s high time to organize a festival where the main role is played by the chimney cake.

When there’s something he believes I haven’t tasted, nor heard of, he makes sure I’ll get the chance. Recently he provided me with something he was pretty sure I didn’t know about. Kadarka.
