Former Budapest Honvéd coach Marco Rossi has taken over the reins of Hungary’s national team after the previous incumbent George Leekens left the employment of the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) by mutual consent.

Hungary’s head coach since the summer of 2015, Bernd Storck, has left his post with immediate effect after a rollercoaster two years in charge of the men’s national team. His assistant Andreas Möller leaves with him but his other countrymen in the national-team set-up will remain in their positions.
