The pop music series of programmes of the 2013 Hay Festival Budapest starts with the Minneapolis band Dark Dark Dark in Akvárium Klub on 17 May, Friday, 9:30 PM. Australia’s 2013 Oscar Nominee, Cate Shortland’s LORE won XX. Titanic International Filmfest’s Breaking Waves Award worth 8000 Euros, supported by the Hungarian National Film Fund. The jury, whose head was the world famous Jiři Menzel, awarded Mira Fornay’s MY DOG KILLER with a special award. The Audience’s Award was given to the Czech director, Petr Nikolaev for his film, LIDICE.
