Although in the last 30 years it was quite unusual for a symphony orchestra to start a concert with works by Bach, 20 years earlier this would not have been surprising at all. With the spread of the historically informed performance movement, modern orchestras 'withdrew' from the Baroque repertoire. Today, however, they are reclaiming this area.

Omar spent some time in academia, his studies ranging from literature to medieval history to linguistics, and is currently in the final stages of completing his PhD thesis, after which he plans to return full-time to his father's cheese business that has taken root in Hungary and spread around the world.

I was born in Budapest on 25 April 1986. As a teenager I was open to art, music especially, which was (and still is) a serious influence and source of inspiration. During my highschool years I learned to play the trombone and the guitar.
