Just like you, most probably, I find some high-end restaurants a tad stuffy sometimes. You know when you’re not sure whether to have the sparkling or still water without upsetting the waiter. Well rest assured the staff at the sister restaurant of Costes are very easy-going, as well as knowledgeable and prompt, and thankfully the food lives up to the Michelin-starred reputation.

I chose the pörkölt, because lot of Hungarian specialties are based on our national stew (pörkölt). If you know how the pörkölt is made, you are one step closer to preparing some typical Hungarian foods, especially a very tasty goulash.

The City of Eger is over a thousand years old, with its glorious historical past, valuable historical building complexes, wines and curative waters is one of the most famous cities of Hungary. It was a bishop's seat as early as during the reign of our first king, Szent István.
