So I’ve been looking for a chance to pick up that cause now that I’m here in Hungary. I’m very pleased to say I’ve found it.

A ceremony was held in the Parliament Building honouring the Hungarian medal winners of the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the 14th Summer Paralympic Games. The Hungarian Cabinet approved the payment of Ft 2.2 billion in bonuses to Hungary’s most successful athletes at the London Olympics, as well as to support staff. The one-off payments range from Ft 35 million for gold medalists to Ft 2 million for those who finished eighth in their competition.
